Tales for Tots: Tales for Tots is a story time for children ages 18 months to 3 years old and their caregivers. Twinkle Babies: Twinkle Babies is a lap-sit story time designed for adult caregivers and babies up to 18 months old. Age-appropriate actions, songs and books are presented to promote early literacy skills. Music & Movement: Designed for children and caregivers to get up and move together, Music & Movement enhances motor skills and reinforces early literacy skills. Littlest Learners: This series of hands-on programs are for infants and toddlers (newborns to 3 year olds) and their caregivers to explore fine motor, gross motor and cognitive experiences. ‘Radical Lafayette — Exploring the Violence Amid 1920s Coal-Mining Strike’ exhibit: This exhibit explores an era when the Industrial Workers of the World fanned the flames of discontent. Lafayette became the center of the IWW’s radical workers’ rights movement. The exhibit prominently features the roles played by women as labor leaders and the massacre wrought by members of the KKK; 10 a.m. Wednesday, Lafayette History Museum, 108 E. Coal Creek Meals on Wheels silent disco: Dance the night away at the silent disco for a good cause. Coal Creek Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals and socialization to anyone in need. A food truck will be on site, and drinks will be available through Romero’s. Prize drawings will also take place throughout the night. Sensory story time: Kids and caregivers can join for a special story time designed for individuals that are neurodiverse and/or have sensory needs. Story time will be structured and include singing and books read by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Sensory toys will be available for any child that needs them.
