The stirring last moments of Chan Sung Jung are still fresh. ‘The Korean Zombie’, who terrorized the featherweight division and made a name for absorbing blows on his chin, left the arena with tears in his eyes. The Korean fighter hung up his MMA gloves after he dropped the fight against Max Holloway at UFC Singapore. He fought fearlessly until his last shot, and that summed up his whole fighting career. However, the visuals of him sobbing while walking out took the fans and Daniel Cormier by surprise, as one of the toughest guys was bowing out of the UFC. ‘DC’ believes it was a special night and a special moment made possible by Dana White and Co.

The former UFC champion, in a YouTube video, recalled the emotional hour and mentioned it was “sad.” In addition, he declared it the greatest walkout and the greatest retirement. Cormier said, “He had the greatest walkout. He might have the greatest retirement too. To be in Singapore and have everyone singing this song as he’s leaving. The emotion, time of his retirement, it was special.”

Following this, the American fighter disclosed his vulnerability and emotional state. He admitted he was on the verge of shedding tears. The 44-year-old also touched on his illustrious career. He conceded, “It made my heart flutter right. I started feeling like I was going to start crying. Because you don’t see guys like this who have that type of impact, not become a champion. But still, be so important to the sport, elevate to that level. The Korean Zombie did that.”
