Mike Tyson is very much respected for his explosive knockouts that he showcased inside the ring and the controversies he was associated with outside of it. Tyson has been dragged down by the ordeals of life numerous times. After he retired from boxing in 2005, he had to declare bankruptcy due to his hedonist lifestyle. He claimed losing around $300 million of his earnings and found himself in debt of $38.4 million. But he stood back again on his feet, as he opened up a cannabis company, Tyson 2.0. Additionally, he also started doing cameos in various films, which helped him financially here and there.

On October 28, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou signed a deal to fight against each other in a crossover boxing fight. Interestingly, for that fight, Ngannou sought ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ for boxing guidance, and Tyson accepted his request with open hands.

He even issued a warning to ‘The Gypsy King’ regarding his upcoming bout. Anyway, in the recent Mike Tyson podcast episode, the co-host DJ Whoo Kid asked the Youngest Heavyweight champion if he’s ever trained any other boxer before ‘The Predator’.

To that, Tyson replied, “Oh man I always train amateur fighters in the gym, when I come to the gym to train for boxing. You know what I mean, tips and everything, that’s just my life.”

He then went on to say how fighting is a huge part of his life, and he can never separate it even for one second.

Additionally, he added, “Me being Champion, that’s my highest and my greatest accomplishment I could ever do. If I had $100 billion, they wouldn’t surpass that.” Tyson hasn’t given money much merit, as in the past as well, he’s talked about how money provides people with feigned security.

In one of Tyson’s podcast episodes, he invited his therapist, Sean McFarland, who is well-known for his understanding of trauma and addiction. So in that episode, Tyson divulged his views on the topic of money. He said, “Money don’t mean sh*t to me. I always tell people – they think money’s gonna make them happy.”

To that, Tyson simply stated that if somebody has a lot of money, then they can’t expect to be loved by anybody. Tyson further said, “You believe that you’re invincible when you have a lot of money, which isn’t true. That’s why I always say money is a false sense of security.”
